Extended Care Program Information

General Information

Glendale Christian School offers an Extended Care program for Glendale Christian
School students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. The program provides students
with supervised care in a safe, secure, and loving environment at the conclusion of the
school day.

Extended Care is offered only on days that school is in session.

Extended Care Hours:
- Regular School Days (Monday–Friday): 3:00–5:30 p.m.
- Noon Dismissal Days: 12:00–5:30 p.m.

Rates & Fees

Regular School Days: $8.00 per day, per child
Noon Dismissal Days (when available): $15.00 per day, per child
Please note that fees are charged on a daily basis only. There are no prorated or
partial-day fees.

Late Charge:
There is a late fee of $1.00 per minute, per child for students picked up after 5:30 p.m.
Excessive late pickups may result in dismissal from the Extended Care program.

Billing & Payment

Extended Care charges will be billed weekly and posted to the family’s FACTS account.
Payment is due within 10 days of receipt.

It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure that all family and billing
information in FACTS is accurate and current.

Sign-Out Procedures

Parents/guardians must sign their child(ren) out each day before leaving the program.
Students will only be released to adults who are authorized in FACTS.
Authorized family members will be issued a unique pick-up code at orientation. This
code is to be used only by the authorized individual and must not be shared with
others. Proper identification may be required at the discretion of Extended Care staff.

Behavior Expectations

Students are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a Christ-centered manner
and in a way that demonstrates respect for authority, fellow students, and the school.

Inappropriate language, defiant behavior, physical aggression, or taking items that
belong to others will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behavior may be grounds for
dismissal from the Extended Care program.

Rules

The rules for a safe and well-run Extended Care program are not limited to those listed
above. Extended Care personnel have the authority to take corrective measures
regarding student behavior as deemed appropriate. In all cases, the Principal has final
authority regarding behavior expectations and disciplinary actions.
